There are definitely treasures all around us...
If we know where to look.

As a side note before we get into the crux of the matter;

Economies are tanking all over the globe. Some worst than others. You may not be in the market for a quest you might need a real treasure box.

If you find that you are in need of physical and or financial help right now, seek assistance. Check with your local faith based organizations, or other groups that assist in your community. They should be able to help you or point you to someone that can. Once your immediate needs are met do come back so that we can get on with our treasure quest.

Women As Treasure is striving to be just such an entity that in the future will be able to assist women in times of need.

FIRST THINGS FIRST... YOU ARE THE TREASURE!

As unbelievable as it may seem you have what you need to become the person you were created to be. Just like the little caterpillar that may believe that all hope is lost, one day she emerges as a beautiful butterfly.

You may be in a tight spot right now, don't lose hope.

Learn what you can from your situation. Be determined to break free.

There are times when we are in the mist of situations that are not the most desirable. Situations can be so uncomfortable we want out at all cost.

A word of caution, before jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire let's make sure to,

Stop and Think
about how we got
into this fix in the first place.
If you are in a dangerous or life threatening situation THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU.. Get out - Get help - Don't wait!

However if you find yourself running or jumping from one bad situation to another...

Here are a few questions to think about.

Was a poor decision made?

Were the feelings of others considered?

Was information gathered that could have helped make a more informed choice?

Did I think about the consequences of my decision?

Did I rush in without thinking?

Did I look before leaping?

If you sit down and spend a little time going over these questions you realize they all tend to focus on one thing Thinking. Thinking takes time, and when we are hurting most of us just want everything to go away. Stop the pain! At all cost, Stop the pain!

I have come to understand that pain is there to let me know something is wrong. If I deaden (or dull)the pain the problem doesn't necessarily go away. I need to deal with what is causing the pain not cover or mask it. If I have a splinter in my finger and simply put a bandage on it my finger is still going to hurt. It can even become infected and create a worse problem.

Take the splinter out! Yes it might hurt a little at first, but then the healing can begin. Deal with your pain.. get to the root of it. Take control of your life, don't let others determine your destiny. Your past does not determine your future!

How To Start A Treasure Quest

A quest is simply the act of seeking; a search; a pursuit; an expedition taken to achieve or to find something.

So a Treasure Quest would be seeking or pursuing a treasure. At the beginning of this page I posed a question; "Are you seeking obtainable treasure"? Answer that question before you go any further.

You can start a treasure quest at any time. It is simply a matter of knowing what you wish to pursue, and constructing a plan to obtain it.

What Is True Treasure...

and what does it have to do with us?
Is it Gold, Platinum, or Diamonds?
Any of these would probably work, but when you compare a "pot of gold" for the life of a loved one... the gold is sure to come up short.

Think about it, which would have greater value to you, a truck load of platinum, or good health coupled with age and wisdom? Sadly many of us trade good health for money.

Don't get me wrong I know we need the stuff! I'm kind of partial to it myself. Only let's not trade wealth for peace of mind, and happiness.

Know that there is not enough money in the world to purchase eternal life for your soul... it's been paid in full. Do you know how to claim your free gift?
