Golden Seeds

We Are Up To Number Five
Don't forget how we do things while looking at the golden seeds.
A- Discover Know what the seeds are.
B- Evaluate What stage of life is it in? Is it a seed, A sapling, Or has it matured.
C-Take Action If it's a seed-Cultivate or Develop it. If the seed has become a sapling, it will need to be Nurtured. If you find a seed that has become a mature fruit producing plant, it should be Harvested, Enjoyed, and Shared.
Patience Is Our Fifth Golden Seed
A It is the ability to wait calmly for something to happen without complaining or giving up.
B Seed The knowledge that everything does not happen right away.
Sapling You try to wait calmly, it doesn't always pan out that way. That whole 'longsuffering' thing just doesn't quite work for you.
Matured The capacity to wait and remain calm; even enduring hardship, and difficulty.
C Seed- You know you need to wait sometimes without blowing a head gasket. So now move that knowledge from your head to your heart. Stop losing your cool.
Sapling- Hold onto your joy and your peace. These two little guys are a big help when it comes to dealing with enduring hardships and remaining calm; don't let things get under your skin. Continue to work towards being a patience person.
Matured- Have you ever heard the statement "The patience of Job"? The Bible tells a story of a wealthy man who had seven sons and three daughters. In one day Job lost his wealth and his children. He was left with a nagging wife, who told him to "curse God and die" (hows that for encouragement)? And three friends that stayed on his case through out the story telling him what he should do, and how he should react.
"Not once through all this did Job sin; not once did he blame God." (Job 1:22) Talk about longsuffering! This story is a good example of what mature patience looks like. There are 42 chapters in the book of 'Job' if your are interested in reading it. The story does have a happy ending. You can be in control of your actions, it's a choice, a decision that we all have to make everyday. Once you have matured in this area enjoy it, spread it. Encourage others to seek the calmness that patience can bring.
We could all benefit from slowing down just a tad bit. In this hurry up, microwave generation that we live in everything in now, now, now! We have instant coffee, instant messaging, instant weight lost, and 'drive-thru' everything. From food, to cleaners, to banking, and lets not forget the car wash. Fast is good, but somethings are worth waiting for.
Diamonds take a long time to develop into beautiful precious gems. The diamond is the hardest known natural material we know. It is a transparent crystal of carbon? What do pieces of coal and diamonds have in common? If you were to receive an engagement ring from an admirer, which would you prefer, a 1/2 carat diamond, or a one carat cubic zirconium? The zirconium is man made, and is often used as a diamond substitute, because it resembles a diamond, but is much cheaper. We don't like to wait for anything anymore. The word 'longsuffering' is used in the Bible for patience. It's not used much anymore. Come on, anything to do with 'suffering' can't possibly be good. Then you add the word 'long' to it. Forget it. A "good-natured tolerance of delay or incompetence" sounds so much better than Longsuffering.
